Sweet and Sticky Asian Glazed Chicken Wings June 10 2023

Ingredients:

  1. 2 lbs chicken wings
  2. 1/2 cup Mike's Sweet Asian Glaze
  3. 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  4. 2 tablespoons honey
  5. 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  6. 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  7. 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  8. Chopped green onions, for garnish
Ingredients:
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together Mike's Sweet Asian Glaze, soy sauce, honey,  minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the glaze.

  3. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large bowl. Pour half of the glaze over the chicken wings and toss to coat them evenly. Reserve the remaining glaze for later.

  4. Arrange the coated chicken wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 35-40 minutes, turning halfway through, or until the wings are golden brown and crispy.

  5. While the wings are baking, pour the reserved glaze into a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat until it comes to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

  6. Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven and brush them generously with the simmered glaze.

  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the glazed wings for added crunch and flavor.

  8. Return the glazed wings to the oven and broil for 2-3 minutes, or until the glaze becomes sticky and caramelized.

Ingredients: 

  1. 1.5 lbs pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  2. 1/4 cup soy sauce
  3. 2 tablespoons mirin (sweet rice wine)
  4. 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  5. 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  6. 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  7. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  8. 2 tablespoons Mike's Sweet Asian Glaze (marinade and glaze)
  9. Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
  10. Sesame seeds, for garnish
  11. Sliced green onions, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon of Mike's Sweet Asian Glaze to create the marinade.
  2. Place the pork cubes in a resealable bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the pork. Toss to coat the pork evenly. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated pork cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  5. Place the pork skewers on the preheated grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, or until the pork is cooked through and has a nice char on the outside.
  6. During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the remaining tablespoon of Mike's Sweet Asian Glaze onto the pork skewers, allowing it to caramelize slightly.
  7. Once the pork is cooked and glazed, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  8. Sprinkle the Teriyaki Pork Skewers with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish.

Ingredients

  1. 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  2. 2 Tbsp Mike's Sweet Asian Glaze (marinade and cooking sauce
  3. 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  4. 1 tsp Mike's Garlic Butter
  5. 2 cups mixed vegetables (such as sliced bell peppers, onions, zucchini, and mushrooms)
  6. Salt and pepper, to taste
  7. Cooked white rice, for serving
  8. Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips, season with Mike's Garlic butter. Place the chicken in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag, and pour soy sauce over the chicken. Toss the chicken to ensure it's well coated in the marinade. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat a grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Once the grill or skillet is hot, remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off.
  4. Cook the chicken on the grill or in the skillet for about 4-5 minutes per side or until cooked through and nicely charred. Baste the chicken with the Mike's Sweet Asian Glaze while cooking.
  5. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the vegetables. Heat a separate skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of oil, then add the mixed vegetables. Stir-fry for about 5-6 minutes or until the vegetables are tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste
  6. Once the chicken and vegetables are cooked, serve them together with steamed white rice. Drizzle the remaining Mike's Sweet Asian Glaze over the chicken and vegetables. Garnish with chopped green onions for an extra pop of freshness.
